Outside of researching and improving my knowledge in the scientific domains, I like to spend my time studying languages, playing music, and spending quality time with friends and family.  Language has always been important to me, as it was a means to connect with people all around the world who I had met gaming online. This allowed me to expand my professional scope by conducting tutoring in Spanish, and opened up the German-speaking world to me. 

I played the viola for 10 years, eventually swapping it out for the piano when I got into college. I am classically self-taught and enjoy playing bits and pieces from romantic era composers such as Liszt, Chopin, & Brahms.
